How It Works
The Opportunity Zone program was created under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 to encourage long-term private investment in economically distressed communities. Investors who reinvest eligible capital gains into a Qualified Opportunity Fund (QOF) can defer and potentially reduce their federal capital gains tax liability.
Pennsylvania has hundreds of designated Opportunity Zones, many of them in the Philadelphia metro area — including neighborhoods in Center City, North Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, Kensington, and surrounding counties.
Jon helps investors identify qualifying properties within designated zones, evaluate whether the OZ structure makes sense for their specific tax situation, and execute acquisitions that meet the program's requirements.
This is not tax advice. Jon works alongside your CPA and attorney to ensure the real estate side of the transaction is handled properly.
